Specific Learning Disability Assessment Test
In specific learning disability, the main difficulties are problems in reading, writing, arithmetic or mathematical reasoning, slow or inaccurate reading, omissions or reversals in writing, and difficulty remembering numerical facts.
The Specific Learning Disability Battery focuses on skills such as whether a child’s lateralization is complete, reading performance, questioning of precedence-succession relationships, mathematics skills, and visual memory screening. It reveals in which areas the child is strong and in which areas he/she needs support.
The Specific Learning Disability Battery, which is mostly administered to children attending 1st and 5th grades, has the most important function of providing strong data regarding whether the child has a specific learning disability or not.
The Specific Learning Disability Battery takes approximately 1 hour and consists of ten subtests. The battery covers many elements: reading, reading comprehension, writing, mathematics, time knowledge, sequencing skills, etc., appropriate to the child’s age and education level.
The Specific Learning Disability Test Battery will be highly beneficial when administered by a specialist physician. Diagnosis can be made through a comprehensive evaluation that includes clinical assessment interview, specific learning disability battery, psychometric tests, scales, information obtained from the school, and examination of school notebooks.
